Rumours that Hollywood actor Orlando Bloom, 32, is now engaged to girlfriend and lingerie model Miranda Kerr, 26, have been quashed.
Kerr was reportedly spotted with a diamond engagement ring after going away on a romantic Thanksgiving break with Bloom in Morocco.
OK! magazine reported that the Australian model’s brother said: “It all happened during their recent vacation in Morocco. He’s finally done it. Orlando has proposed. They’re getting married.”
Earlier this year, Kerr, 26, denied rumours to the press that Bloom gave her an ultimatum after she turned down a number of his wedding proposals.
“What a load of baloney – as if anyone would do that,” she said and also told Australian reporters not to always believe what they read about her personal life.
Kerr and Bloom have been dating for nearly three years and are said to be planning their wedding for next summer, according to OK!
Yet spokespeople for both celebrities have recently denied the rumours. Bloom’s representative told the Daily News: “There is no truth to any rumours of engagement.”
The Pirates of the Caribbean and Lord of the Rings star added: “Miranda and I spend so much time apart, she’s working hard, I’m working hard, so we have to grab time together whenever we can . . . We are just enjoying our time together now.”
Kerr’s representative told WHO.com that her brother was misquoted: “I can confirm with absolute certainty Matt did not say anything of the sort and was upset to see the article.”
A friend of the Victoria’s Secret Angel told People.com: “It’s definitely something they talk about. She’s starting to think about marriage and a family. But they’re not ready just yet.”
