American pop country singer Carrie Underwood is engaged to professional ice hockey player Mike Fisher.
Fisher, 29, proposed to the singer, 26, two weeks before Christmas. "I’m happy to confirm that Carrie Underwood is engaged to Mike Fisher, and the couple couldn’t be happier," said a statement from Carrie's spokesperson. "No wedding date has been set at this time."

£100,000 of gems were stolen last week at a McDonald’s drive thu in Lancashire reported the Daily Telegraph.

A sparkly set of diamonds worth £128,000, worn by Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, has been stolen in a raid on a courier bike.
The Daily Mail reported the 27-year-old pop singer wore the diamonds with a flowing white dress designed by Jenny Packham at the Cosmopolitan Ultimate Women of the Year Awards a fortnight ago.

Three new world records were set last week in Geneva with the sales for diamonds at Sotheby’s ‘Magnificent Jewels’ sale.
A 3.17-carat Fancy Intense Blue diamond was sold for £1.53 million to Swiss jeweller Chatila who also bought a 74.8-carat vivid-yellow diamond ring for £1.9 million.
